Stingrays Junior Netball is a vibrant, growing part of our club. We offer a positive and quality netball experience and the opportunity to participate and develop the required skills of netball through structured coaching. Teams train and compete weekly throughout the season with the aim of creating confident, competitive and committed netball players.

GENERAL

Which age group will my child be in?

We offer U8 to U19 divisions.

Can my child play in an older age group?

Our coaching team will assess if a player can play up in the next division.

My child has never played netball and doesn't have a preferred position, is that ok?

No worries, the coach will assign a suitable position for your child.

Are trials for new players only?

No, trials are for ALL players.

Can my child with special educational needs join SKS?

We are an inclusive club. Contact us at netball@skstingrays.com and we will assess if we have the resources to support them.

Training & Tournaments

Who will coach my child's team?

All teams are coached by one of our four professional netball coaches.

Does my child need to attend all the tournaments?

No - however we encourage consistent attendance to support your team.

Where and when are the training times?

We train at Pak Kong Soccer Pitch (Sai Kung) on every Saturday, each division trains for one hour from 08:00am – 12:00pm.

Where and when are the league matches played?

Fall term (Oct - Dec) Saturdays at Fa Hui on Saturdays. Spring term (Jan - April) Sundays at Wong Chuk Hang.

Training Kit

How do I order the SKS netball kit?

Kit fitting information and an order link will be emailed to you after registration. If you join after the deadline, please email netball@skstingrays.com.

How much is the netball kit?

A training top and dress are included in the registration fee.

When are the new Sai Kung Stingrays netball kits due to be delivered if we ordered before the July cut-off?

The Sai kung Stingrays netball kit is due to be delivered towards the end of September.

If I join the netball team now and haven’t previously ordered kit, how do I buy the netball kit?

The Sai Kung Stingrays has purchased surplus kit for this eventuality. This surplus will be available towards the end of September.

Community

How does Sai Kung Stingrays Netball differentiate itself from other clubs?

Stingrays' mission is to provide young players with opportunities to enjoy playing netball whilst building collaboration skills and relationships with children from all backgrounds and nationalities in a safe and inclusive environment. 

Stingrays is a community club in Sai Kung run entirely by volunteers. We have a very strong parent community who support us with administration, safeguarding, managing teams, supporting in matches and organising events. 

Netball Training is provided by qualified, professional Netball coaches and the Head Coach provides mentoring for early career coaches. We are currently the biggest netball club in Junior National League (JNL).
